Bravery. Patriotism. Love of country.
Most of the men in my hometown sign up to be soldiers once they are of age. As a child, I would see brave-looking men wearing camouflage uniforms on the street and I would imagine. I would imagine them coming home to see their loved ones, only to leave again in a few days to fight the good fight for their country.
I became one in 1989.
