My first sky jump as an airborne soldier was torture. The jump-master's loud voice from above the noise of the plane's engines gave me and the other jumpers the courage to take the plunge from 3,000 feet towards the ground. I was nervous, who wouldn't be? but when the parachute opened, like a flower in full bloom, my fear was replaced by calmness and peace. All I could see was the vast expanse of blue while floating on air, and I felt the gentle touch of the Almighty One on my face.
